Kinetrol use a standard actuator and add a spring return unit to form a spring return actuator.

The modular design means units can be easily retrofitted or replaced.

A reliable low stress rangle clock type spring helps reduce torque loss, typically the torque loss will be only 20% through 90°, compared to 40% with a typical rack and pinion unit (see graph below). This allows for the selection of smaller actuators.

The direction of spring action can be speficied as either clockwise or anti-clockwise. A non-breathing, sealed housing protects the spring in corrosive environments.

Keeper plates are available to ensure safe handling.
